Our motto is "Quality not Quantity".
We hope you will find something you are
interested in. If you want to see how they grow out, look at
Montana (6.5 yr old
weight was 2665#) or Chucky
(6.5 yr old weight was 2190#). We are ruthless with our knife. These bulls
really have to stand out at branding in order to make the bull list. We
make another cut on the bulls at preconditioning time. Our calves are not
creep fed. The weights you see are from only grass & mom's milk.
They do not get put into "special pastures" for just the bull calves. We
handle our calves like commercial cattlemen.
The Bulls are fed a head start medicated pellet at weaning then
switched over to feeding an alfalfa based pellet with corn, barley & wheat.
They are a green pellet & all natural. THE BULLS DO NOT GET
PUSHED. They are
fed to gain about 2 -2.5#/day
. As of January 1st, the boys are on 10# of
pellets & have free choice to Grass/Alfalfa hay mixture. They grow out nicely, yet do not carry
much fat. We want them in good flesh, with sound feet to be able to go out
& go to work for you.
Complete health records, Semen tests & transferred papers (if you
want them) are furnished. Each bull
is vaccinated for foot rot. Bulls are cake broke. Our
bulls are super gentle & retain that gentleness throughout their life.
They load easily into a trailer & that stays with them as well. Ultra
sound Carcass Data gets taken, DNA testing is done, as well as color testing the
double black bulls. All of our DNA testing is done by Pfizer Animal Genetics
(formerly Bovigen LLC). After visiting with the area rep to explain the
new MVP results, the majority of our bulls are in the
top 10 percentile
of all of the testing done in their lab (except Angus-which have their own
grouping) for Feed Efficiency. Our whole herd was BVD-PI tested negative in 2007.
Bulls have been BVD-PI tested
(All tested negative) .
Thank you to our past bull buyers. We
appreciate your confidence in our program & your Business.
Bulls can be seen at the Ranch
anytime. Feel free to give us a call anytime with questions.
All Bulls with "Spook"
(Montana & Sterling) in their
pedigree, are a higher Percentage than their registration
shows, as she was a Non Registered Salers X Cow.

I am very impressed with our first calves out of Ulmar. They are all
thick, deep, polled & quite gentle. This guy is extremely gentle &
will eat cake out of our hand already as a 3 month old calf. Super
thick top on this boy. Piper is out of the 48Y cow that was the mother
to our Great Red bull "Big Red". She is a very good producer. |

I am very impressed with our first calves out of Ulmar. They are all

attention from day one. He is gentle & super thick. Misty comes
from a long line of great cows (we sold her grandmother at age 15 & her
mother at age 10).

Lavina is the mother to our 2007 Supreme Consignment, DY Tyson 725T.
This calf has the same huge hip as Tyson did. Super nice bull prospect
that is very quiet. Lavina is a granddaughter to our great spook cow, so he
should sire some phenomenal replacement heifers.

The youngest calf in the offering & is a full brother to last year's bull

This is a proven cross..... take a look here. This guy is a meat
wagon. He was the heaviest calf in the 2009 crop. He will put a
heavy set of calves on the ground. He has the best feed efficiency
score in the offering, as well as the best ADG. His picture does not do him justice & true to
this cross, he like his older brothers, is super gentle. I really like
this bull. We lost his mother in the spring of 2010, so he is the last
one out of this great cow. He is a phenomenal Bull. |
|
We are using him this breeding season,
but he is still for sale after August 1st, but will have to be trich
tested. |
